What Hydras is

A full episodic pipeline, with every detail consistent from the first shot to the last.

Generation is the easy part. What breaks a production is everything around it: a crew of ten people, thousands of clips, and no shared answer to what exists, what is approved and what goes to the editor. Hydras is the system around the models.

01

Consistency

Same face, same car, same street, shot after shot.

02

Speed

A week of drafting, drawing and rendering, in one.

03

Control

Every version kept. Every decision human.

04

Access

Someone who has never written a prompt can run a whole episode.

05

Memory

The show's identity lives in the tool.

Working together

Your whole crew, in the same episode. At the same time.

On most productions the work moves by hand. Someone renders, someone renames it, someone emails it, and by Friday nobody is certain which cut the editor is actually working from. In Hydras the episode is simply open. Your director, your producer, your artists and your editor are all in it, and what one of them changes, the rest can see.

Nobody waits

The artist can start while the director is still writing. No one sits on their hands waiting for a file to come back.

Nobody guesses

The editor opens the cut the director actually approved. Not a copy of it, not the one someone thinks is newest.

Nobody works alone

Give an agent a scene the way you would give it to a person, and watch it get on with it.

Describe it in a sentence

Say what the episode is in plain language. Hydras comes back with the pitch it understood and the look it will hold, and you correct either one.

Hand someone a scene

Give a scene to an artist from the episode board. It is theirs from the first frame to the finished cut, and everyone can see it.

Agents pull their weight

Point an agent at a shot and tell it what you want in your own words. It gets on with it, next to everybody else.

01

Everyone at once

Ten people can be in the same episode without tripping over each other. Nobody is waiting for their turn.

02

Nothing gets lost

Two people can work the same scene at the same time, and yesterday's version is still there if you want it back.

03

Agents answer to the same rules

An agent's work goes through the same review as anyone's. Approve it, or send it back with a note.

04

Approved means approved

When the director approves a shot, the editor already knows. Nobody has to go and tell anyone.

The production loop, end to end

From the first sentence to the finished cut — and back, wherever a shot needs it.

The whole production lives in one place: a director sets the episode up, a producer gives the scenes owners, artists make the shots, the editor cuts as they land. It is not a line, though. A shot sent back — by the director at review, or by the editor because it plays wrong against its neighbour — goes straight to the artist who made it, with the reason attached. It is remade, it comes back, and the version it replaced is still there. That return path is the part every other setup loses.

01The director sets it upDescribe the episode in plain language. Scenes and shotlists come back, and the look is decided once
02Scenes get ownersThe producer hands each scene to an artist. Who has what is on screen for everyone
03The artist works the shotsStoryboard, then stills, then video — every frame in the episode's look
04The director reviewsShot by shot. Approved, or sent back with the reason attached
05The editor cutsApproved shots reach the edit as they land. The editor can send one back too — it plays wrong against its neighbour
06Rework finds its ownerFrom either direction, the shot returns to the artist who made it, with the note. The earlier version is still there
Sent back by the director at review, or by the editor from the cut — straight to the artist who made it, with the reason. Earlier versions stay.

ONE SHOT, THREE STATES · ONE ARTIST, ONE ROW, ONE LOOKTHE DARK SIDE
Used in real production

A twenty-part series was made in it.

The Dark Side is a twenty-part true-crime series from Warner Bros. International Television Production Finland, and the first of its kind: every dramatised reconstruction in it, more than a hundred minutes of premium documentary drama, was produced with generative AI.

A director, a producer, a team of AI artists and the editors downstream worked the same episodes at the same time — thousands of shots, several versions of each, one shared standard. Hydras is the system that held it together.

It carried the series from the first case file to the last approved clip, and it is now in private beta with selected productions.

Who it is for

Built for people who make episodic screen work.

Drama, documentary reconstruction, branded formats, animation. Any production that needs dozens of scenes, hundreds of shots and one consistent look, episode after episode. Every production decides its own look and its own rules in Hydras, and the system carries them through every stage.

This is the moment episodic television gets a proper creative instrument.

Private beta

Hydras is running with selected productions.

Public access is not yet available and there is no waiting list. When that changes, it will be announced here first.
